One of the scariest prayers we can utter is "Lord, give me patience." In fact, we are so scared of HOW God might answer that prayer, that most of us probably don't even go down that path! However, devloping patience -- longsuffering, endurance -- those are vital parts of the character transformation that people should go through as they mature in the faith.
